not a bad experience but the food was average or slightly above. had to wait 10 minutes to be seated even though there were multiple tables available/empty. (and 10 minutes is not bad at all during tourist season in OBX) the service staff was great and prompt and food came out quick. the wasabi mayo was very good but the tuna was not seasoned much, if at all. the craft burgers were good. and you can craft/create your own. atmosphere was chill but not as welcoming as we expected based on what we have heard. plenty of TVs to watch local and regional sports. could tell all ingredients were fresh.

We stopped by for dinner at 4:40 pm and was seated immediately. When we left close to 6 pm there was a long wait to get a table as people were waiting inside and outside the main door. This is typical for a very good place to eat dinner in the OBX. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs, and the food we ate was very delicious and hot to eat. This was my family's first visit to Two Roads Tavern and it will not be the last. We will surely visit again during our next OBX vacation.

Two Roads Tavern is a great restaurant. The service was wonderful and the food was really good. The crab cakes are phenomenal, all crab not filled with stuff you don't want.

The new and improved place has only made for a better experience. Hostesses are nice. Servers are kind. Food never disappoints. Love the appetizers alone! The cheese curds and the bacon gravy fries. So good!!! Dishes are never disappointing!

5 stars, which is increasingly hard to find in OBX nowadays. Do yourself a favor and order the tuna bites. They were only $14 (market price), a generous portion, and served with a green onion aioli. Cooked perfectly too, and nice blackening job. I had the blue bison burger. It was cooked perfectly. I have never had bison before, so it was a great first time experience. Service was great, even down to the plates for apps without having to ask.

Our first time trying here while we were in OBX. The food was really good especially the mashed potatoes and fried shrimp. The batter was light and seasoned well. Everything was great. We returned again the next day with some friends and sat in the dining area. Service was good even though the second day was busier. Nice place to also watch a game. Would definitely return again when we're back in OBX.

My first time at Two Roads Tavern was a pleasant experience. I started with the “Sounds Good Burger,” which was tasty but could have benefited from more sauce. I also tried the Mahi Mahi for the first time, and it was delicious, accompanied by a tasty sauce. To begin, we had the Cajun Cheese curds. As a Wisconsinite, I must admit they were good, but they were a bit soggy. Perhaps they could have been fried a bit longer or dried off before serving. However, they were paired with a Jamaican Jerk Aioli, which was tasty. Overall, the burgers were good, nothing extraordinary, and the Mahi Mahi was very good, definitely worth trying. The fries had the same problem as the cheese curds—the taste was good, but they were a little too soggy.
